Former Armenian PM detained on corruption charges

Former Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has been detained.

The press service of Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed the detention, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.

It states that Abrahamyan is accused of money laundering, abuse of official authority, and involvement in illegal entrepreneurial activities.

Armenian media also reported that a search is currently being conducted at Abrahamyan’s residence.
