Former Georgian deputy PM calls for assistance for Azerbaijan in mine action

Azerbaijan needs help and support in demining the territories.

The remarks came from former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia Eka Tkeshelashvili at the IX Global Baku Forum in Shusha on June 19, according to Report.

She said there is a danger of mines around the world. In particular, according to her, the fact of mines in agricultural and residential areas is especially terrible.

According to her, unfortunately, mines are not yet completely prohibited by all international rules.

Tkeshelashvili added that in a very short period, the Azerbaijani government was able to start reconstruction work in the liberated lands.
