09 February 2023 13:20
As part of search and rescue operations in Hatay province in southeastern Turkey, 72 hours after the earthquake, four people were rescued from the rubble.
Rescuers of the IHH Turkish Humanitarian Fund and the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) heard calls for help coming from the rubble in the Odabasi quarter, Anadolu reports.
First, they managed to pull out a five–year–old girl Hazal and her mother Betul Guner, after which rescuers reached the second family - a father and daughter.
After first aid, the wounded were taken to the hospital.
