France, Armenia sign agreement for supply of CAESAR howitzers

France has finalized a significant defence agreement with Armenia, sealing a deal for the supply of CAESAR howitzers, according to statements from French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
Lecornu highlighted the strengthening of defence relations between Paris and Yerevan, emphasizing the productive discussions held with Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan, Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media.
"A new important milestone has been achieved with the signing of a contract for the acquisition of CAESAR cannons," stated Lecornu.
The CAESAR (Camion Équipé d'un Système d'Artillerie) is a 155mm self-propelled howitzer mounted on a Renault Sherpa 10 truck chassis with an armored cab, known for its mobility and firepower.
