France backs Armenia's initiative to deploy int'l observers on border with Azerbaijan
French Ambassador to Armenia Anne Louyot has said that France supports Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's idea to deploy international observers on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
"We support this idea, we are working in this sphere, we are negotiating with other countries," the French ambassador told Yerevan's Zhoghovurd newspaper on September 30, according to Caliber.Az.
Earlier, Pashinyan announced the need to deploy a mission of international observers on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has recently commented on the statements made by Armenia about the deployment of international observers on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
It is impossible to replace the actual trilateral agreements with something imaginary," she said.
Zakharova noted that many people want to replace these agreements with themselves and their ideas.
"They promise a lot, but there are no results," she added.
