France files new charges in case of man accused of abusing 30+ boys In parallel crackdown, Poland dismantles pedophile network
Authorities in France and Poland intensify parallel investigations into child exploitation, uncovering new victims and large-scale distribution of illegal content.
In France, investigators in the Rhône department continue a case against a 40-year-old man from the Beaujolais region accused of multiple sexual offences involving minors, Caliber.Az reports per French media.
So far, authorities have officially identified 34 victims — boys aged between 2 and 9 at the time of the incidents.
According to the investigation, the crimes were committed between 2020 and 2024, with the suspect, a father, allegedly using children’s parties and home invitations to carry out the abuse.
Searches uncovered digital storage devices containing pornographic video and photo material produced by the suspect.
He was detained in December 2024 following complaints from parents and has admitted to most of the charges. In April 2026, prosecutors filed additional charges, including rape and possession of prohibited content.
The accused remains in custody, while the investigation continues to identify potential additional victims. Psychological support has been arranged in schools attended by those affected.
In a separate development, authorities in Poland have dismantled a paedophile network, with prosecutors in the Lublin district charging five individuals suspected of distributing child sexual abuse material online.
Investigators say the suspects shared approximately 3,200 files of illegal content, as per Polish media.
During searches conducted across the Lublin region, police seized 76 data storage devices, including mobile phones, laptops, desktop computers, and hard drives, all of which have been sent for forensic IT examination.
A court has ordered four of the suspects to be held in custody for three months, while one remains under police supervision.
Prosecutors emphasised that combating the distribution of materials involving sexual abuse of children remains a top priority for law enforcement, noting that further arrests are possible as the investigation progresses. The suspects face up to 15 years in prison.
