France supports Ukraine's NATO aspirations But accession depends on conflict resolution

France is open to inviting Ukraine to join NATO, but the Minister Delegate for European Affairs, Benjamin Haddad, emphasized that Ukraine's accession to the alliance cannot be considered until the ongoing conflict with Russia is resolved.

In an interview with French media, Haddad stated, “France supports Ukraine's aspirations for NATO and acknowledges the possibility of an invitation,” Caliber.Az reports.

However, he clarified that while an invitation is feasible, actual accession would only occur after the conflict has ended.

“Accession could take place after the conflict. Otherwise, we would be dragged into it,” he added.
