French envoy to Armenia, EU intel mission's staff visit conditional border with Azerbaijan
French Ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies, accompanied by the staff of the EU Intelligence and Monitoring Mission, has visited the conditional border between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Gegharkunik (Bashkend - ed.).
As Caliber.Az reports citing Armenian media, Olivier Decottignies made a post in this regard on the X platform.
He noted that the village is only 4 kilometres from the line of contact with Azerbaijan.
"The presence of European observers gives confidence to an isolated and vulnerable population," Decottignies wrote.
According to him, the mission serves as proof that they are "not forgotten".
It should be noted that some Armenian experts have previously stated that the observers in Armenia, who represent NATO countries, especially Germany and France, are intelligence agents. Gathering information on the Russian military presence in Armenia and keeping an eye on Iran are their main tasks.
