French nationals' unauthorized entry attempt at Baikonur Cosmodrome ends in tragedy

Two French individuals made an attempt to enter the premises of the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Caliber.Az reports citing Russian media that one of them suffered severe dehydration and tragically did not survive.

"Yesterday, two French citizens attempted to breach the boundaries of the cosmodrome. They opted for a 'classic' approach, disembarking on the highway and proceeding towards the towering structures in the steppe. Unfortunately, one of them fell ill along the way," the source stated.

The source further revealed that the second individual, unable to provide assistance, hurried back to the highway. Upon reaching it and halting a passing vehicle, they discovered that the first individual had succumbed to severe dehydration.
