FSB detains top officials of Chelyabinsk prison service over corruption PHOTO
Russian security forces have detained senior officials of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) in Chelyabinsk amid a corruption investigation.
On the morning of November 14, FSB officers took from their workplaces the First Deputy Head of the Chelyabinsk FSIN, Sergei Bulchuk; the head of the department for internal security, Oleg Mokhov; and the agency’s chief accountant, Marina Ufimtseva, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

They are suspected of accepting bribes and abusing their official powers. A representative of a private company has also been detained on suspicion of offering bribes.

The investigation is being conducted by the Fourth Investigative Department of Russia’s Investigative Committee in Yekaterinburg. Searches are ongoing at the officials’ workplaces and homes.
