Gas explosion kills seven people in southwest Türkiye UPDATE

"A gas explosion while replacing the cylinders in the restaurant is considered as the main [cause]", Governor Aksoy announced.
According to Haber Turk, he added that the emergency signal was received around 15:30 local time by rescuers from the restaurant, located on the city's Cyprus Street. The gas explosion occurred while pipe replacement work was being carried out.
One person has been detained in connection with the gas explosion, the ministry of justice reported.
Two out of the five injured people jumped out of the second floor of the building following the explosion. Another person is in critical condition.

An explosion occurred in a restaurant in the Turkish city of Aydin with 7 people being reported dead and 5 injured, one of them critically.
As Hurriyet reported, the explosion was caused by a gas leak. The Governor of the city, Huseyn Aksoy, rescue teams, ambulances and police have already arrived at the site.
Aydin is the capital of the same-name province in the country's Aegean Region in the southwest.
