Gazprom Export files lawsuit against German firm
Russian state-owned company Gazprom Export has filed a lawsuit against German firm Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport GmbH, a subsidiary of Uniper, the company that holds a 20% stake in the OPAL pipeline, the onshore extension of Nord Stream.
The claim was lodged on December 5 with the Arbitration Court of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
No further details have been published in the court registry.
Lubmin-Brandov Gastransport GmbH is part of Uniper Global Commodities SE and owns a 20% share in the OPAL pipeline, which links Nord Stream to the gas transport network of Central and Western Europe.
Gas flows through OPAL into Germany up to the border with the Czech Republic, with a capacity of 36 billion cubic metres per year.
