Gazprom says TurkStream export facility survives drone attack
02 April 2026 12:56
Russian energy giant Gazprom reported that its export infrastructure was targeted in a new drone attack, but no damage was sustained.
“Last night, between 12:40 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., the Russkaya compressor station, which ensures the reliability of gas exports via the TurkStream pipeline, was attacked by three aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles,” the company said.
Gazprom added that, through coordinated actions by the Russian Ministry of Defence and mobile operational units, the attack was successfully repelled, and the facility remained unharmed.
The Russkaya compressor station had previously been targeted in an earlier incident, underscoring the ongoing security challenges faced by Russia’s gas export infrastructure.
