Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has approved the acceptance of a $10,431,459.90 grant from the US government for the Ministry of Defence.
The decree, published on the government’s official website, approves the transfer of goods worth $10,431,459.90 to Georgia’s Ministry of Defence under the International Assistance to Georgia program (PB-B-WFK, DT-B-WAZ, PB-B-WFJ, DT-B-WBC and DT-B-WBA), Caliber.Az reports via Sputnik Georgia.

The grant is provided in the form of non-monetary assistance, consisting of goods valued at the specified amount, with communications equipment making up the bulk of the deliveries.
Under legislation that entered into force in April 2025, government approval is required for the receipt of any grant.
