08 December 2025 14:52
Georgia will not charge duties for the first transit of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia announced, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
On December 5, the Georgian government received a request from partners to carry out a one-time fuel transit from Azerbaijan to Armenia through Georgian territory. By the decision of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, the Georgian Railway was instructed to immediately carry out the railway shipment free of charge, the ministry said.
The ministry emphasised that Georgia remains a strategic and reliable partner for both Armenia and Azerbaijan, and continues to support peace and stability in the region.
