Georgia and US discuss Middle Corridor transport project

Georgia and the United States have held talks focusing on bilateral relations and regional connectivity, with particular emphasis on the Middle Corridor transport initiative.

Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with U.S. State Department representatives Charles Yockey and Peter Andreoli, according to the Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation, with the Middle Corridor project and Georgia’s role as a key regional transport and logistics hub taking centre stage. Both delegations underlined the importance of strengthening collaboration in this area.

U.S. representatives also reiterated support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing readiness to continue efforts aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation.
