Georgia appoints Beka Dvali as ambassador to Israel
Georgia has appointed Beka Dvali as its Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the State of Israel, the country's Foreign Ministry has announced.
According to the ministry, Dvali has extensive experience serving both at the central office of Georgia's Foreign Ministry and in the country's diplomatic missions abroad, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
Since 2022, Dvali has served as Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Australia. From 2012 to 2022, he was Georgia's ambassador to South Africa.
Over the course of his diplomatic career, he has also served as Minister-Counsellor at Georgia's embassy in the United Kingdom, Senior Counsellor at the Georgian embassy in the United States, Deputy Director of the European Integration Department at the Foreign Ministry, and Head of the United Nations Division within the ministry's International Organisations Department.
Dvali holds the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
