Georgia appoints new economy minister
24 June 2025 14:34
Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has appointed a new Economy Minister as part of a wider effort to strengthen the country’s Economic Council.
Former Deputy Minister of Economy Mariam Kvrivishvili will step into the top post, replacing Levan Davitashvili, who will now serve as the Prime Minister’s chief economic adviser and as secretary of the Economic Council, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
Davitashvili, a longtime government official, had led the Ministry of Economy since 2022.
