Georgia, Armenia boost security cooperation in high-level talks
Georgia's Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has held talks with Andranik Simonyan, Director of Armenia's National Security Service, during his official visit to Armenia, the Georgian Interior Ministry's press service said.
The Georgian delegation included First Deputy Interior Minister, Roni Meskhi, and the Director of the Patrol Police Department, Levan Maisuradze.
The discussions focused on current regional developments and emerging security challenges, with particular emphasis on bilateral cooperation in border security and further enhancing coordination mechanisms to combat cross-border crime.
During the meeting, Tamazashvili reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation between the two agencies and expressed Georgia's readiness to further strengthen bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest.
