Georgia, Armenia security chiefs discuss regional stability PHOTO

The head of Georgia’s State Security Service (SSS), Gela Geladze, has paid an official visit to Armenia, leading a delegation of senior security officials, according to a statement published on the agency’s Facebook page.

During the visit, Geladze held talks with Andranik Simonyan, head of Armenia’s National Security Service. The two sides discussed the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia, the regional security environment, and ongoing security challenges, Caliber.Az reports. 

According to the Georgian State Security Service, particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation between the two countries’ intelligence agencies in addressing global threats and supporting regional stability.

Geladze expressed appreciation to the Armenian side for hosting the delegation and extended an invitation for Simonyan to visit Georgia in return.

The meeting was also attended by deputy heads of Georgia’s State Security Service, Tamaz Borashvili and Alexander Maisuradze.
