Georgia arrests four Ukrainian nationals in major drug bust VIDEO

Georgian authorities have arrested four Ukrainian citizens in connection with organised drug trafficking, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reported on Facebook.

The arrests were carried out by the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during a coordinated operation in Tbilisi and Batumi.

Investigators say the suspects operated in a highly organised manner, attempting to distribute large quantities of drugs using the “stash” method.

Under Georgian law, those convicted of such crimes face up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
