Georgia, Azerbaijan strengthen strategic justice partnership in high-level meeting

Georgian Justice Minister Anri Okhanashvili and Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev have discussed the process of strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The discussions highlighted the effective cooperation between the relevant agencies in the field of justice, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Advisor to Georgia's Justice Ministry Levan Kasradze, advisor to Azerbaijan's Ambassador Samir Abdurahimov, and Embassy Attache Royal Pashayev attended the meeting. The sides agreed on further plans for collaboration.

Earlier, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov and his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze held productive discussions in Baku, aimed at further enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations. The meeting, which took place in the Azerbaijani capital, underscored the continued commitment of both countries to deepening cooperation across various sectors.

Kobakhidze shared details of the talks via social media, highlighting the positive and forward-looking nature of the discussions

“Held productive talks with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Mr. Ali Asadov in the frames of the 10th Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and the Republic of Azerbaijan. We discussed perspectives of further deepening Georgia-Azerbaijan bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual concern. We emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in trade and economic sectors as well as the energy field. Our strategic partnership plays crucial role for regional stability and ensuring secure connectivity for our partners,” the post by the Georgian PM reads.

On January 17, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze arrived in Azerbaijan for his first official visit.

The Georgian delegation features prominent leaders, including First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture David Songulashvili, Minister of Culture Tinatin Rukhadze, and Head of Government Administration Levan Jorjoliani.
