Georgia denies being used to circumvent anti-Iran sanctions

Georgia is not being used by Iran to bypass international sanctions, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated.

“In total trade, Georgian exports to Iran account for less than half a per cent, while Iranian imports make up 1.4%," the premier said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

"When people claim that Georgia is being used by Iran to circumvent sanctions, it is false and a deliberate attempt to harm our national interests during this challenging period,” Kobakhidze said.
