Georgia detained more than 3,000 drug dealers in 2025, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said during a meeting of the European Coalition Against Drugs.
He added that the detection of drug-related crimes increased by 87%, according to Georgian media.
“Georgia is a transit country; we connect Asia with Europe. This is a particular challenge in the context of international drug trafficking. For a country the size of Georgia, this is a very large figure.
We identified 144 cases of international drug trafficking, which will, of course, positively affect the reduction of drug trafficking dynamics in Europe,” the Prime Minister said.
