Georgia detains Turkish national wanted under Interpol red notice VIDEO

Georgian authorities have detained a Turkish national who was wanted internationally, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Officers from the Gardabani District Directorate of the Kvemo Kartli Police Department detained the man, who was the subject of an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of Turkish authorities over allegations of several serious crimes, Caliber.Az reports.

The detainee is currently undergoing legally required pre-extradition procedures. He is expected to be handed over to Turkish authorities after the process is completed.
