Georgia elevates Maka Botchorishvili to deputy PM role

Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili has been appointed Vice Prime Minister of the government while retaining her current post as Foreign Minister, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced at a briefing.

“I would like to inform you that the Foreign Minister of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, will be assigned the duties of Vice Prime Minister. Accordingly, there will be three Vice Prime Ministers in the government,” Kobakhidze said, adding that Botchorishvili will continue to serve as Foreign Minister.
