Georgia expels 57 foreign nationals for overstaying visas

Georgian authorities have deported 57 foreign nationals in recent days for overstaying their visas, officials confirmed.
The individuals, who included citizens of Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, India, Thailand, China, Cuba, Bangladesh, Iran, Yemen, Greece, Algeria, Egypt, Turkmenistan, Jordan, Israel, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, and Syria, were found to be residing in the country without legal permission, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
Those expelled have been banned from re-entering Georgia.
This brings the total number of deportations in January 2026 to 232 foreign nationals.
