Georgia names new minister of education, science, and youth
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced that Givi Mikanadze was officially appointed minister of education, science, and youth.
Kobakhidze made these remarks during a government briefing, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
Mikanadze previously served as the chair of the parliamentary Committee on Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, bringing extensive experience to his new role.
Kobakhidze expressed strong confidence in Mikanadze’s appointment, stating, “We are confident that Mr. Mikanadze is the ideal candidate for this position. We wish him every success in his new role.”
Responding to his appointment, Mikanadze described it as a great honour and underscored the vital role education and science play in Georgia’s national development and future growth.
