Georgia opens roads to Armenia, Türkiye for heavy trucks
After clearing the snow, the Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure opened the roads to the borders of Armenia and Türkiye to heavy trucks.
This was reported by the press service of the department, according to TASS.
The movement of trailers and semi-trailers on the Khashuri-Akhaltsikhe-Vale (Turkish border), Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi (Turkish border) and Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda (Armenian border) roads has been restored.
These highways were closed to heavy vehicle traffic as of February 6 due to heavy snowfall. Until now, parts of the Gudauri-Kobi and Mleta-Gudauri highways, which are part of the Georgian Military Highway to the Russian Federation, have remained completely closed due to bad weather conditions.
