Georgia ranks among Europe's leaders in judicial independence

Georgia is among the top 20 European countries in terms of judicial independence, the ruling Georgian Dream party announced.

The party refers to a report by the European Centre for Anti-Corruption Research, which assessed 41 EU member states and candidate countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media 

Georgia shares 16th place with Lithuania and Portugal in the top-20 group.

In terms of judicial independence, Georgia ranks ahead of all EU candidate states, as well as several EU and NATO members, including Italy, Spain, Latvia, Greece, Hungary, Albania, Romania, Poland, Türkiye, Croatia, and others.
