Georgia rejects “blood for Brussels” policy, says deputy speaker
13 November 2025 14:44
Georgia has no intention of sending its citizens to fight abroad simply to win praise from Brussels, Deputy Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Thea Tsulukiani said, according to local media reports cited by Caliber.Az.
“I do not know a single Georgian who would want Brussels to praise them for our people fighting in Brussels’ place. Georgia does not have that many people to spill their blood. When a choice must be made, of course, we choose life — that is the greatest national interest,” Tsulukiani stated.
She added that, hypothetically, if Georgia had agreed to open a second front and taken the brunt of a conflict to secure the Baltic states, then the Georgian authorities might have earned such praise.
