Georgia’s key role in Middle Corridor, TRIPP underlined in US business forum
Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia’s Ambassador to the United States, emphasized the country’s strategic role in the Middle Corridor and its participation in the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) during the annual America-Georgia Business Council meeting.
Addressing the event, Taliashvili highlighted the significance of a new phase in Georgia-US relations and praised the Georgian government’s efforts in promoting regional connectivity. She also recalled the successful Silk Road Forum in Tbilisi and underscored the importance of TRIPP as a regional peace initiative, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The ambassador noted the recent visit of US State Department representative Jonathan Askonas, who reaffirmed Georgia’s key role in advancing the TRIPP initiative.
Participants of the meeting welcomed Georgia’s economic progress, highlighting the stability of its banking sector, positive developments in the services industry, and the efficiency of its customs system. The potential of the Middle Corridor and Georgia’s central role in its development were also emphasized.
