Georgia seeks Luxembourg’s support to revive dialogue with EU
17 June 2026 14:32
Georgia has asked Luxembourg to help facilitate the resumption of dialogue between Tbilisi and the European Union amid strained relations between the two sides, according to Georgian officials.
Chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations Nikoloz Samkharadze said the Georgian government had requested Luxembourg’s assistance in restoring communication channels with the EU, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
According to Samkharadze, Tbilisi is prepared to discuss all issues that have contributed to tensions with Brussels, including Georgia’s controversial “foreign agents” law.
Samkharadze said Georgia remains open to dialogue on the matter as part of broader efforts to improve relations with the bloc.
