Georgia sends parliamentary delegation to observe Hungarian elections
Georgian parliamentarians will take part in an observation mission for Hungary’s parliamentary elections under the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE (OSCE PA).
A delegation from Georgia has arrived in Budapest at the invitation of the Hungarian authorities, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
It includes the chair of the parliamentary committee on European integration, Levan Makashvili, and the chair of the procedural issues committee, Davit Matikashvili.
According to Makashvili, the upcoming elections are of “great importance”, as their outcome could have implications not only for Hungary but also for other countries.
He said observers are holding meetings with candidates and representatives of political parties ahead of the vote to familiarise themselves with their positions.
