Georgia: Tbilisi, Batumi rallies to mark 19th anniversary of Rose Revolution

At 18:00 on November 23, Georgia's Tbilisi and Batumi will host rallies to mark the 19th anniversary of the Rose Revolution.

According to the information published by the organizers of the event on social media, they demand the release of jailed former President Mikheil Saakashvili and the end of the "Russian regime" in Georgia, Interpressnews reports.

"On November 23, on the 19th anniversary of the Rose Revolution, we will gather in front of parliament in Tbilisi and on Era Square in Batumi. All those who believe that the construction and development of a modern state in Georgia began on this day should stand together,” reads the information released by the Public Committee for Mikheil Saakashvili's Freedom.
