Georgia tourism revenues near $830 million in first quarter of 2026
Georgia’s tourism revenues increased by 0.5% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, reaching a record $829.8 million, according to the National Tourism Administration.
During January–March, spending by tourists from the European Union and the United Kingdom rose by 36.4%, reaching $140.7 million, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
However, amid the war in the Middle East, revenues from Israeli visitors declined by 13.4% year-on-year to $98.9 million.
A decrease was also recorded in revenue from Russian visitors, with income from travel from Russia falling by 12.3% in the first quarter of 2026.
At the same time, the number of tourist visits reached a record 1 million over the reporting period, marking a 4% increase compared to the previous year.
