Georgia, US discuss reset of relations, prepare new round of talks
Georgia’s Foreign Ministry and the US State Department delegation have discussed the reset of relations and agreed on a new round of talks, Maka Botchorishvili, the Foreign Minister, has stated.
She said during the meeting, the sides focused on key issues related to the “restructuring and reset” of relations between Tbilisi and Washington, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
According to her, the dialogue centred on the next steps for developing cooperation and restoring engagement between the two countries.
Botchorishvili noted that both sides recognise the importance of continuing relations based on respect and a pragmatic approach, adding that the American delegation shares this view.
She also said that a new visit by US State Department representatives is scheduled for the end of May, during which talks will continue, and future areas of cooperation will be examined in greater detail.
