Georgia welcomes Europe’s young stars for Junior Eurovision 2025

13 December 2025 11:06

Junior Eurovision 2025 is set to light up Georgia today, with the country once again taking centre stage as host, according to Georgian media reports, cited by Caliber.Az.

The competition will bring together young performers from 18 European countries. Georgia will be represented on home ground by 10-year-old Anita Abgaryan, with the live show scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.

Fans around the world can take part through online voting, which opened at 12:00 a.m. on December 13 and is available via the contest’s official website. To cast a vote, viewers are required to watch a short video, choose three countries, and confirm their selection.

Online voting will be temporarily paused at 8:00 p.m., when the live broadcast of the contest begins. Once all 18 contestants have taken to the stage, voting will reopen for a final 15-minute window, giving audiences another opportunity to support their favourites.

This year marks the second time Georgia has hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, following its acclaimed staging of the event in 2017. The country also holds a special place in the competition’s history as its most successful participant, with a record four victories since making its debut in 2007.

Georgia’s most recent triumph came at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid, where Andria Putkaradze captured the title with the song To My Mom.

Junior Eurovision 2025 will feature talented performers aged nine to 14 from across Europe and beyond, celebrating youth, creativity, and cultural diversity through original musical performances.
