Georgian, Armenian officials discuss legal cooperation in Tbilisi
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan in Tbilisi to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of justice.
Their meeting, which also included talks on strategic partnership and good-neighbourly relations, took place during the Georgian-Armenian Legal Forum, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Georgian government’s press service,
“The cooperation of Georgia and Armenia in various bilateral and international formats was discussed. Special attention was given to effective partnership in the field of justice and the importance of exchanging experiences between the two countries. The significance of establishing sustainable peace in the South Caucasus, as well as long-term and stable regional development, was emphasised,” the press statement said.
The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by Justice Minister Paata Salia, Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani, Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Ashot Smbatyan, and Ambassador Georgy Sharvashidze.
