Georgian defence minister, Armenian PM discuss Baku-Yerevan peace progress
Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani, during an official visit to Yerevan, underscored the importance of the recent Armenia-Azerbaijan peace declaration signed in Washington, calling it a significant step toward lasting stability in the South Caucasus.
During the talks, both sides underlined the traditionally friendly relations between Georgia and Armenia and reviewed key items on the bilateral cooperation agenda. The discussion also highlighted the strategic partnership between the two countries, with both officials emphasising the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the South Caucasus region, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian Defence Ministry.
The meeting also included discussions on existing defence cooperation between Georgia and Armenia, with both sides expressing readiness to further enhance collaboration in this field.
