26 January 2025 10:15

The spokesman for the Georgian Foreign Ministry has said that Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili will visit Armenia at the end of January.

The spokesman made these remarks following Bochorishvili's meeting with Armenian Ambassador Ashot Smbatyan, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

The sides discussed current issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda, highlighting the close strategic partnership between the two countries.

A meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Commission between Georgia and Armenia will be held next week.

Earlier, Bochorishvili paid an official visit to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met in an expanded format to discuss political, security, economic, energy, transport-communications, humanitarian dimensions of Azerbaijan-Georgia strategic partnership, as well as regional and international security matters of mutual interest.

Bayramov informed his counterpart about the post-conflict regional reconstruction, demining and peace efforts, as well as existing challenges to the sustainable peace process.

During the 10th session of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Baku, Azerbaijan and Georgia signed four important documents to strengthen bilateral relations.
