Georgian observers monitor elections in Armenia
The Chair of Georgia’s Central Election Commission has highly praised the preparations for the elections in Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
“Based on meetings with international organisations and observers, it can be said that a great deal of work has been carried out in preparation for the elections, and we hope this will yield results – that the elections will be well organised, professional and transparent. I wish success to the electoral administration,” said Giorgi Kalandarishvili.
He added that Georgian observers are monitoring all stages of the elections: “The observers will present their recommendations to the electoral administration of Armenia.”
It should be noted that voter turnout in Armenia’s parliamentary elections stood at 48.92% as of 17:00.
