Georgian Parliament reshuffles schedule ahead of Armenian PM's arrival
Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili has postponed his scheduled address on the annual parliamentary activity report due to the upcoming visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Georgia.
According to Georgian media, cited by Caliber.Az, Papuashvili was expected to deliver the report on March 4. However, the speech has been cancelled as government institutions will focus on preparations for the high-level visit planned for next week.
“The plenary session of parliament will be held on March 4, but the report will not be presented due to the planned visit of the Armenian prime minister. The government will be busy preparing for this visit. The speech is postponed until next week,” Papuashvili said.
Despite the postponement, the parliamentary plenary session itself will proceed as scheduled, with the annual report to be presented at a later date.
