Georgian PM calls China world’s only peaceful superpower
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has described China as the world’s only peaceful superpower, highlighting the importance of strengthening ties between Tbilisi and Beijing.
In an interview with Turkish television channel TRT World, Kobakhidze said that, in his view, China currently stands out as the only major power that pursues peaceful policies on the global stage, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
He added that Georgia and China share common values, which makes the deepening of cooperation between the two countries especially valuable for his government.
The prime minister emphasised that Georgia is seeking to expand cooperation with countries around the world. He noted that agreements on free trade and a visa-free regime signed with China have already contributed to strengthening Georgia’s international connections, boosting its national economy, and improving its political standing.
