Georgian PM calls for stronger ties with Azerbaijan, Türkiye
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze called for further strengthening strategic ties between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, saying relations with the two neighbours were developing positively.
Kobakhidze said Georgia had “very good dynamics” in its relations with Azerbaijan and Türkiye and that work to deepen those ties would continue, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
He also highlighted a project to lay a submarine cable across the Black Sea to transmit electricity and digital communications. Experts have included the project among initiatives of common interest with the European Union.
Kobakhidze said Georgia’s role was essential to establishing such connections, adding that “everyone understands that without Georgia, such ties cannot be established”.
