Georgian PM prioritizes deeper ties with Azerbaijan and conflict resolution with Russia
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has emphasised the importance of further deepening relations with Azerbaijan.
Kobakhidze made the relevant statement while presenting the election programme of the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia party, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
He also called the settlement of the conflict with Russia a priority.
“Pragmatic policy and peaceful settlement of the conflict with Russia is also one of the most important priorities,” Kobakhidze noted.
Speaking about the foreign policy plans of the authorities for the next four years, Kobakhidze called “the most important national task” the reset of relations with the United States and the European Union.
The prime minister also mentioned the deepening of relations with NATO and strategic partnership with China as priority tasks.
He also stated the importance of further deepening relations with neighbouring Armenia and Türkiye.
