Georgian PM says future ties with OSCE PA depend on its conduct

13 July 2026 15:39

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said cooperation between Georgia and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) will continue, but stressed that the quality of the relationship will depend on the organization's future actions.

Kobakhidze said the OSCE PA's approach in the coming period would determine the level of engagement with the Georgian delegation, Imedi reports.

"Cooperation with the OSCE will continue. However, the quality of that cooperation will depend on how the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly proceeds with its work—whether it remains at the level of Joe Wilson or rises above the level of Joe Wilson. This will be a fundamentally important issue for cooperation between the Georgian delegation and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. We will see how the process develops. Once again, I repeat that the quality of our cooperation will depend on the future activities of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly," the prime minister said.
