Georgian PM to skip Munich Security Conference despite invitation
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze confirmed that the government has received an invitation to the Munich Security Conference, but he will not attend.
He told journalists that Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili might represent Georgia at the event, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
“Our representative will attend the Munich Conference. In what format the government will be represented - this will become known later. It may be Maka Botchorishvili. The public will hear from us about this when necessary. I will not be at the Munich Conference. The government has received the invitation, and a government representative will attend. That is all I can say at this stage,” Kobakhidze stated.
The Munich Security Conference will take place from February 13 to 15. Last year, Georgia was not invited.
