Georgian police detain 119 people in major drug operation VIDEO

Georgia’s Interior Ministry says police have detained 119 people in a large-scale special operation carried out over the past 48 hours in Tbilisi and across the regions.

According to a statement posted on the ministry’s official Facebook page, 49 of those detained are suspected drug traffickers, Caliber.Az reports.

The Interior Ministry made it clear that the operation targeted drug-related crimes, with law enforcement seizing various types of narcotic and psychotropic substances in large quantities.

Officials also reported the discovery and seizure of a significant amount of firearms and ammunition during the operation.
