Georgian police detain Interpol-wanted Turkish national in Batumi VIDEO

Police in Georgia have detained a Turkish national wanted internationally through Interpol, the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
The suspect, identified as M.I., born in 1974, was apprehended by officers from the Khelvachauri District Office of the Adjara Police Department. Authorities said he was being sought by Türkiye on charges of robbery involving violence, Caliber.Az reports.
Following operational and investigative measures, the individual was located and detained in the coastal city of Batumi.
Georgian authorities confirmed that legal procedures for extradition are currently underway.
